Who we are
eleko is a product by Cem Kaplan TMI, based in Finland. We make an ambient electricity price display device for Nordic households.

What we collect
The eleko device itself collects no personal data. It fetches publicly available electricity prices from the Nordic energy market and displays them locally. No usage data leaves the device.
For the website and mobile app, here is exactly what we collect:

Waitlist emails
If you join the waitlist at eleko.live, we store your email address using Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), a European email service provider. Your email is used only to notify you when eleko is available to purchase.
We will email you once — when eleko is ready to ship. No newsletters. No marketing sequences. No spam.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email, or by emailing us directly at hello@eleko.live. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.
The mobile app
The eleko companion app (iOS and Android) fetches live electricity price data from public Nordic energy APIs. This data is fetched on-device and is not routed through eleko servers.
The app does not:
- Create user accounts
- Collect or store personal data
- Use advertising SDKs or tracking libraries
- Share any data with third parties
Price threshold preferences and notification settings are stored locally on your device only.
Third-party services
We use the following external services:
- Brevo — email delivery for the waitlist. Privacy policy at brevo.com. Brevo is GDPR compliant and processes data within the EU.
- porssisahko.net / Elering — public electricity price APIs. These services receive a standard HTTP request from your device or app. No personal data is sent.
- Google Fonts — fonts loaded on the website. Google may log the request IP address per their privacy policy.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising service.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are based in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi)

Cookies
The eleko.live website does not use tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed because we set no cookies beyond what your browser requires to function.
Children's privacy
eleko does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The device and app contain no features directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you are on our waitlist and the changes affect your data, we will notify you by email.
